which floor at luxor in the pyramid?

we are leaving for the Luxor in three weeks. We are staying in the Pyramid.

I have read alot of reviews about not staying on the bottom couple of floors becasue of the noise level from the elevator and the people.

any idea which floor would be ok? how many floors are there in the Luxor?

thanks for any info anyone has.

I%26#39;ve stayed here 3 times and each time I was on the 12th floor or above. The lower floors (approx 3-7) are REALLY close to the action, so if you want to avoid people being able to see you come out of your room, or if you want a quieter existance, just ask for a higher level floor and you should be fine. Not exactly sure how many floors there are, but last trip I was on the 23rd floor, and loved it. Enjoy!

In our opinion the best rooms here are the Tower Rooms.

Larger and better looking with large windows with better views.

Just got back yesterday. West Tower 20th floor --room was nice and had a great view of mountains. West Tower 6th floor had a view of the roof and Pyramid.

not to freak you out or anything, but have you read the stories about all the ';weird'; and ';untimely'; deaths that have occurred there (during construction...and since).

I think its an Egyptian curse thing...the whole place gives me the heebie jeebies when I walk thru....something about that pyramid shape and those INCLINATORS instead of escalators.

I just could never stay there....we only walk thru when we go see the blue man group and it givbes me some kind of sick feeling in my stomach..literally.

Many people feel the same way...almost like a motion sickness.

Others just love it and don%26#39;t feel anything at all. I wish I was the same.

The corridors are actually open balconies on the interior and overlook everything...and some friends of mine stayed there and the glass wall in their room to the outside is an an angle (obvioulsy to form the shape of the pyramid)...it had kind of low clgs at that exterior glass wall...it just felt so odd.

Don %26#39;t take offense to this, but when you said ';we are staying in the Pyramid';...I was compelled to say something.

I like staying in the pyramid. I%26#39;m no fan of heights so looking over the side does make me a little queasy, but as far as a ';bad feeling'; that%26#39;s probably more related to ';what was I thinking putting $100 on the hard 8'; than the spirits of the deceased.

I know, its probably just me, but it does give me the most uneasy feeling....

Hopefully Jack will be just great on an upper floor.

To add to the freakiness....read this from a source on the internet:

The Luxor Hotel

Unlike any other building in the world, The Luxor boasts a 350-foot pyramid complete with a sky beam that can be seen from 250 miles away. There is a belief that pyramids are great centers of power and regeneration and the source of many secret properties; however, according to some reports, The Luxor锟斤拷锟絪 pyramid has wrought bad luck on the entire Vegas valley.

One construction worker died during the construction of the pyramid, several others were injured and still others flat-out refused to work on the site. A number of people have inexplicably jumped to their death from the inside balconies of the pyramid. When the Luxor was just about complete, the Vegas World Sky Towers (now the Stratosphere) caught fire mysteriously, and suffered serious damage. The bad luck of the Luxor is blamed. The only way to lift the curse on the city is to place the appropriate artificial eye at the capstone of the pyramid. As of yet, the eye is not in place, so the curse of the Luxor is said to remain.

you guys are sick dildos

This curse stuff is a bunch of crap. If there is a curse, it%26#39;s the curse of people who lost everything at the tables or in the slots, not a curse of the Pharohs. People jump to their death because they%26#39;re despondent and they can. The reason most hotels don%26#39;t have windows that open more than a few inches is because people would jump out those, too.

I will admit, the open hallways might feel kind of weird, but it has nothing to do with spirits (at least not the supernatural kind). I just don%26#39;t like heights.

The higher your floor, the longer you get to ride the inclinator.
