Trip Report - 5/12 - 5/16

We just got back from Vegas late Monday and boy, what a ride! We stayed at the Luxor Hotel and it was great; the West Tower rooms are every bit as nice as people say they are. We had a ton of room to tool around in even though the bathroom was a tad on the small side. The standalone shower was huge, and the water pressure was the best I%26#39;ve ever had at a hotel. It did take a while for the shower to drain, however, so if you planned on being in there a while you%26#39;d end up standing in a couple inches of water. No big deal though, my shower at home does the same thing. The bed was very comfortable and we got plenty of pillows. Upon arrival, we even got a little freebee from the hotel - they sent us about 200 bucks of food by accident. Apparently it was supposed to go to another family who%26#39;s last name was one letter off of my boyfriend%26#39;s (I%26#39;d ordered him champange and strawberries as a surprise so that%26#39;s why we got anything in the first place.) We let them know their mistake and not only did they promptly send up what I had pre-ordered the week before, but they let us keep the other food! Great customer service. The pool area was big, very very good for sunbathing but not very much shade. I loved the pools but the cabanas looked run down. We ordered room service and it was okay - I got a great shrimp cocktail with huge shrimp but my boyfriend got a four cheese pizza which ended up making him sick. We ate at the Sacred Sea Room - wonderful wonderful food and atmosphere. We also ate at PF Changs which was okay. Gambling was a ton of fun, the casino%26#39;s slots treated me very nice (I love those Frog Prince ones!) and my boyfriend had a ton of fun playing Let It Ride poker at the Tropicana. We both got royally dusted downtown at the 4-Queens however; the table games down there did nothing but take all our money and it wasn%26#39;t even fun losing it. I did all the Vegasy things - took a couple pictures with the hunky gladiators outside of Caesars, saw the lions at MGM and went to the top of the Stratosphere. All in all, I can%26#39;t wait to go again - I%26#39;m now planning my August trip with my best friend!

sounds like fun..wow you scored on the room service thing..lol I love those frog machines also...o.k, I love all of the machines...I%26#39;ll be going again in July and Sept...can%26#39;t wait..
