Time share presentations

I have read several trip reports in which visitors reported that they get annoyed by timeshare sellers trying to get them to go to a presentation for a gift. What do they normally give away and how long are the presentations?

Time share presentations

Did one of those once. NEVER AGAIN. My husband and I received $40.00 cash each. They told us it would only take 60-90 minutes and that there would be no pressure. HA! We were there for 2 hours and 45 minutes and each sales person we said no to told us we just needed to say no to one more person. Five people later we were out of there but with our $80 bucks. I do admit that it was very informative as they tell you about all of the construction going on but still not worth it.

Thermal cups are the normal prize for attending these sales presentations. The kind you find at better truckstops across the US of A. They hold 64 ounces of your favorite beverage. They keep the beverage ice cold for about 5 minutes. You get this for 3 hours of your time. They say the presentations are 90 minutes long, but then they put the high pressure sales tactics on you for another 90 minutes. Actually some give away as much as $75 in gaming tokens for spending your day with them. These chips can be turned into real chips if you win. They can%26#39;t be used in the themed nickel slots, if that was your next question.

I went to one that was offered at Harrahs....we rcvd two free buffet tickets and two free show tickets. They told us it was going to be 60 minutes and it was actually about two hours. The buffet and show were great but it was a long two hours. We go to Vegas a lot and this was something to do where we weren%26#39;t gambling away our money and we got to tour the new time share hotel but I don%26#39;t think we would ever do it again.

I did a presentation over beside MGM. I can%26#39;t remember the name of the company, but we got $150 in gift certificates to Planet Hollywood. It wasn%26#39;t worth it %26amp; I wouldn%26#39;t do it again. It was one of the worse things that I have ever experienced. And to make it worse, Planet Hollywood was horrible. They said the presentation would be 90 hours, but it wasn%26#39;t that long.

Time Share presentations are such a waste of time. All you ever get out of it is a huge headache and someone trying to badger you into buying. No matter where you are they are the same.

Friends of ours did one of these presentations on their last full day in Vegas. Went to a new timeshare resort being built by a shuttlebus and it took 5 hours from start to finish! Then the show tickets they were promised were not available when they got back to the hotel. (They did settle for a different show and a buffet dinner) So they wasted their last full day in Vegas and never got the show they were promised to begin with. They were NOT happy, especially since the next morning they had to leave!

I would say that time share presentations are well worth it !

You can use the gaming tokens to play the nickel slots. I personally enjoy the bonus play, how about you ?

Have a nice day !

Based on your responses, we will not listen to those presentations. Vegasman..I don%26#39;t play nickel slots by the way. Never play slots.I like Bacarrat and poker.

No kidding? Me too - love poker especially. Where have you played bacarat and poker? What limits do you play?

Here we go again...
