I would do cheaper at the Bellagio.

Oooooh, great question. I think I would also take the cheaper room at the better hotel. Then you get the entire ambience of more luxury surrounding your stay. Allthough the restuarants, etc. are often more expensive too. But if budget is an issue there are hundreds of places to eat within walking distance I%26#39;m sure.

Ok another quick question which rooms at any hotel have the best view of the strip?

always go with the better hotel

The Better hotel.

To me it depends on your %26#39;style %26#39; and taste, if you dont feel real comfortable in the rarified air of the high class hotels maybe you would feel more comfortable in a great room in a %26#39;good %26#39; but not %26#39;great %26#39; hotel....

If I am the type of person that wants to hang around in shorts and a t shirt and wants to go to dinner in my jeans why do I want to be in a Luxury hotel where I might feel out of place?

I am mulling over the same question myself for my next trip. I think you can get a petite suite at the TI for less than a standard room at the Venetian etc.

Definitely the ';better'; hotel. Your surroundings make up for it...and heck...you will hardly spend time in your room anyway! Even if it is smaller, or cheaper, but at least the amenities with your stay will be worth it.

Bellagio has a fantastic location, beautiful pool, and frankly...is the nicest hotel on the Vegas strip. I mean, all of the hotels are nice (in their own ways), and all have something to offer. Even TI...has a great ';ship and pirate'; show right out front of the hotel for free. But of course, it is not as ';luxurious'; as the Bellagio.

We always have a better time in Vegas, the nicer hotel, but that is just our taste. It depends on what yours it reallly.

Good luck,

First time in Vegas, we stayed at IP in a ';Luv Tub'; room. It was great. The next time we stayed in a resort vista room at the Aladdin. That was great too. And $100 more a night. I already live in a nice home, so I don%26#39;t really care whether the hotel room has real oak furniture or oak veneer. Figure out what you want, a big tub, a big bed, a good view, a good pool, and pay for those things. But don%26#39;t pay double the rate for fancy soap and shampoo if those things don%26#39;t really matter to you.
