How are buffets at Sahara and Stardust?

I got 2 for 1 coupons there so might have to check it out. Just looking for decent meat and potatoes type food.

Decent is not a word often associated with the Sahara buffet. The Stardust buffet is just that, decent. Heavy on the MSG as they serve a lot of asian food.

Ate at the Sahara in 2003. If you like Golden Corral (I do) you won%26#39;t have any complaints.

For a $1 more, you can eat like a King at Ellis Island! The deal is 24/7, so the only question is how much steak you can handle.

Also, someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I think you get a 241 buffet coupon if you sign up for a players card at the Orleans. Should be just about the same price as the Sahara.

Yea, i also have a 241 coupon for orleans also. And oh yes, we will be hitting ellis island for the steak. Any suggestions on best way to get there to ellis if we dont have a car? If Sahara is like golden corral I will be in heaven :) Those are my kind of buffets!

i ate at both buffets a couple of weeks ago.

Sahara was ok, full of huge familys with kids, but a good basic selection. I was not ill but some kid had been sick (probably from gorging himself!) and they were cleaning it up.

Stardust was ok, a bit smaller with less selction but was nicer for it. (no kids!) had breakfast there and they had all the usual stuff.

I%26#39;m not sure where you are staying but once you get to Bally%26#39;s, its a two block walk east.

Neither of those buffets are among the best - and that%26#39;s beng kind. Try Aladdin, Ballys, Luxor (Pharoh%26#39;s Pheast) ...even Harrahs or the Flamingo. Frankly, it costs a little more, but the ';Le Village Buffet'; at Paris Las Vegas is my favorite. The last time I tried the Carnival World Buffet/Rio (which has a good reputation), I was disappointed. (Lots of dirty dishes at uncleaned tables.) A sleeper is the VERY inexpensive (but good quality) buffet at The Palms. (Only $5.99 for breakfast buffet.)

You can get a coupon book with a lot of 2 for 1 coupons by joining most casinos players club. Not just the Orleans.
