Flamingo or Treasure Island?

Can anyone tell me which one is more central on the strip and also the nicer of the 2? They are priced about the same, average of $175/nt for a long weekend in the fall.

Thanks!

Flamingo or Treasure Island?

If the prices are about the same, I would go w/Treasure Island. They aren%26#39;t too far away from each other, so location is about the same. I think that overall Treasure Island is nicer hotel.

I would suggest checking out the amenities etc. of the hotels and seeing which one better fits your needs. Not sure of your age, I know that TI is going for a younger crowd now.

I would have thought that the Flamingo would have been cheaper than TI. I hear that the Flamingo has a good pool...

It really depends on what you are looking for.

Treasure Island!!!

We are mid-30%26#39;s, want to be where there%26#39;s a party atmosphere! Nice pool is a big plus. TI sounds great then. Thanks.

Flamingo has a far superior pool complex, but TI is a bit more upscale and it%26#39;s trying to position itself for the hip 20s and 30s crowd. Take your pick. Both are in good central locations, now that Wynn has stretched the ';prime'; part of mid-strip a bit further north.

Flamingo is more central. They are both cheesy. Though not as good of a location... TI, in my opinion, is much nicer. Flamingois outdated, tired, and looks a bit skanky. As cheesy as TI is... a nicer hotel.

I think it depends on what you are looking for.

Flamingo is more centrally located and has a great pool area. If you are going in the summer and wish to spend time at a great pool, the Flamingo is a good bet with a reasonable price, however the rooms are outdated.

The TI has ';newer'; rooms and tries to attract a younger / ';hipper'; crowd.

TI has the nicer rooms of the two. Flamingo has the best setup as far as the pool, casino and location. The restaurants aren%26#39;t great at either place, except Margaritaville at the Flamingo which isn%26#39;t too expensive and fun. The monorail is pretty con- venient if you%26#39;re staying at the Flamingo. Have stayed at TI twice, the Flamingo 5 times, prefer the Flamingo except for the tired rooms.

Between the 2 casinos, work on them to get a better rate. both r good choices. keep checking the internet for specials.

I have to agree tht the Falmingo Lobby area looks old and out of style. The pool area is cool, but its very crowded. I would say the pool is the coolest thing about the place and so is its location.

I am going July 17th and will be staying at TI. The hotel was renovated a year ago and is in better shape from what I hear. Plus the reviews for the hotel seem consistantly good. It%26#39;s next to the Fashion Mall....not that I would go, but I%26#39;m entertaining distant relatives from Hong Kong and they will want to do some shopping at Ceasers Palace and the mall. The weather in July will be unbearably hot, so having some shopping nearby will give them something to do when they are not at shows and doing some gambling.

I don%26#39;t think you will go wrong with both choices, but after researching this for a while, it seems that TI is a better bet....
