Taking photos in a casino

Are you permitted to take photos in the casinos and inside the hotels.

Not in the casino, but you can take pictures in the hotel.

You can%26#39;t take photos in the casinos (same rules as Brissie as I found out when I took a photo in the Casino there and nearly got escorted out by some security!!!!)

You can take photos inside the hotels - no worries

I think you may be allowed to take some photo%26#39;s in a casino with permission, but only at the slots. No photo%26#39;s at all, at the tables. Best to ask the head honcho at each casino.

You%26#39;re not allowed to take photos in the casino for 2 reasons. POrivacy of the other patrons. Privacy of the patrons. Mr Snith may not be there with Mrs Smith, even though that is who he claimed to be with when he registered. And for Security, safety reasons. In the other parts of the hotel, take as many pictures as you want.

Harrah%26#39;s use to post that you can take photos in the casino and I think Golden Nugget did too. You may want to double check if they still allow it but I know Harrah%26#39;s use to have signs posted by where you go in that you CAN take photos in the casino and I did take some in there. Most the others won%26#39;t allow it but if there is one you want to take photos in, it never hurts to ask.

Thanks for the help. I suppose it is just common sense to ask, but I should expect a no. Anyway I am hoping to be one of the lucky ones where they want to take my photo beside the slots with a big cheque. Haven%26#39;t budgeted that into the trip though.

No is not 100% accurate. Rio for example allows photography of their Masquerade in the Sky show. Some casinos will tolerate pictures from the peripheral areas away from the pit areas, while most will not tolerate any pictures at all.

My advice is to ask upon entering on the restrictions, or go for it. If the casino has a problem with it, you will know in short order.

Agree with VHB. When my husband hit a Royal Flush last year, I asked if I could take a picture of the machine and they said yes. We were able to take pictures in Tropicana of the free act they have.

i was hoping to maybe get some photos taken with me and a cocktail watress so i can show my mates at home and slag them for not going, but if i asked them pit bosses when i go in if i can take photos and he says the slot machine area i can, then i can ask one of the girls, (after giving her a tip) if she would pose, there wouldnt be a problem with that.

i hope so anyway

Stayed at NY NY last year.....lost of photos were being taken in the casino and nobody was stopped. I am sure it depends on wher the casino is in the hotel. At NY NY the casino is right in the middle of everything (shopping, eating, walk ways).
