trip report 4/14-4/17

First thing I should say is that when we booked the Westward Ho we knew it wasn%26#39;t going to be a 5star resort.

1-We arrived late at night but were greeted by the staff at checkin like we were the first and only people of the day. They we friendly and helpful. I requested a room close to the casino and couldn%26#39;t have gotten one closer. The room was clean, but a little outdated.

2- after checking in the room we went out to gamble alittle, we didn%26#39;t end up returning to the room until 3am. When we arrived back we found a bottle of champagne waiting for us(when I made the reservations I mentioned that we were coming to celibrate our 28 anniversary)

3- Up at 6am and went to the breakfast buffett at the Westward Ho- Eggs made to oder and all. It was good food with great service.

4- Weather, 90 degrees that day and we WALKED all the way up to Bellogio, Stopping at all of the casinos on the way up. Won very little. WALKED back down the other side of the strip.

5-Got up bright and early the next mornig started at Circus Circus, Breakfast was just OK. Took a cab to Las Vegas Harley( We visit Harley shops whereever we go) We just missed the Country Music Harley ride but enjoyed the shopping there.

6- took a trolley up to New York New York and visited alll the casinos up that end.

Do believe that we needed more time since this was our first trip but looking forward to going back next year.

Husband said next time we are staying at the middle of the strip.

Wasn%26#39;t that brave, but did have the 99cent margaritas

Lots of walking! We go ot the HD dealers too. The dealer in LV has a large selection. Even spent money at the Airport on HD stuff.

HD shops around the country are always so frisndly and we have to buy shirts for us and our son who builds custom bikes in SC. Plus I love the HD sandles

We were in town the exact same dates and sounds like we were within shouting distance on a couple of occasions. If I read your trip report correctly, you were at LV Harley at about the same time we were. When you%26#39;re staying mid strip next year, look into their free shuttle that picks up at the Riveria, Stardust, Mirage, Ballys, or MGM.

ATJoe: That shuttle you mentioned: Does it take you to the HD from the hotels you mentioned?

Yes. Las Vegas HD has a shuttle that runs between all those hotels and their place. Can%26#39;t recall the exact schedule, but remember it picks up and drops off at HD about every hour.

we took the shuttle from HD back to hotel. On the way to HD we tried to take it from Sahara but we were waiting at the wrong location so we decided to take a cab.
