Craps Comps

If I bet $5 pass line with full odds and two $5 come bets with full odds, when 1 bet comes down another goes up, for four hours. Never vary this strategy what, if any, comps would I receive?

Craps Comps

This may or may not get you a lot of comps. Where I work, you%26#39;d be rated as a 1. This rating earns comps at the slowest rate. Come bets with full odds are the hardest for the casino to beat. Therefore we don%26#39;t comp them very much. Where do you plan on playing? At a casino with only Double Odds, you%26#39;d have a $45 average, if the shooters can hold the dice long enough to get 2 come bets on the layout. If the casino has 10 times odds you%26#39;d be in $165 by the 3rd roll. At a 3-4-5- table you%26#39;d average $75.

Craps Comps

VegasMan, what about the following scenario... Instead of two come bets, I buy the 10 (or 4) for 25, and make one place bet on the 6 (or 8) for 6 dollars (one unit), and press the place bet on the first hit.

In your experience, what would be the comp rate?

Tarifa

$31 average. Do this for 4 hours you%26#39;ll get your room comped at Riviera, Stardust, Fremont, Main Street station. Do it at the Bellagio you%26#39;ll be lucky to get the buffet comped.

Thanks Vman,

So comps are not just based on the amount you play but also on the type of bets you make?

If I am playing 3-4-5 with an average of $75. on the table every 3 or 4 rolls that would be $6. less per roll than the place bettor above but he would acrue comps at a much faster rate?

What would the place bettors rating be if I amrated at a 1?

Thanks again.

Jimi,

We use 1,2 and 3. A person who only bets the Pass or Don%26#39;t pass, Come or Don%26#39;t Come with full odds is a 1. Place bets and Pass line is a 2. And a person who bets a lot of action on the Props Box is a 3. A 1 is the hardest to beat, a 3 is the easiest. All our players from Hawaii are rated as 3%26#39;s wether they bet the Prop Box or not. It%26#39;s how we keep them happy. On a busy weekend they represent 75% of the Drop in the Craps Pit.

So I need a Hawaiian Drivers license.

Is the hawaiian thing pretty standard for casinos in Vegas?

Thanks ....

Does '; Hawaii'; mean all places West of Hawaii as well ? Japan, China, HK etc.

Jimi,

Not sure about all of Vegas. But it%26#39;s common with the Boyd Group. I%26#39;ve been in Las Vegas for 7.5 years, I have worked for them for 5 years. They bend over backwards to take care of the Hawaiians. Boyd owns Vacations Hawaii, all they do is run planes between Honolulu and other Island cities and Las Vegas.

Gray,

Not to me, it%26#39;s the 6 Islands in the Hawaiian Island chain. Hawaii, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, Lanai and Kauai.

It drives me nuts to see people betting for comps and not to win! Guys, please do not change your betting strategy for a coffee shop comp. We go to casino to get some action /thrill and to WIN and not to eat. Buy your own dinner with your winning.

Here is a strategy I use and I have own lots of money. Give it a thought:

1) By pass the come

2) Place 6 %26amp; 8 with $18 each once a point is established

3) Fist hit, go for $22 inside

4) Second hit, ';bring %26#39;em down'; (the hardest words to say in a craps table!)

The beauty of this strategy is after the first hit, I%26#39;m risking $1 to win $28 !!
