Which buffet GN or Main St Station?

We%26#39;ll be visiting downtown and Fremont St experience on our forthcoming trip and would like to eat at one of the above buffets. The GN website doesn%26#39;t mention which stations they have and MSS mentions 9 stations but 3 of these are American, Southern and South western (which all sound like variations on American to me). We particularly like the Aladdin for it%26#39;s variety (excellent salad, N African etc) so which of these two do you recommend?

Main Street is the best IMHO.

Main Street Station.

Main Street Station,

The GN%26#39;s buffet has really gone downhill as well as the hotel and casino.

Having eaten the Golden Nugget buffet (dinner) a number of times I can tell you it is not worth the money ($14-$16 incl. tip). The carving station consists of turkey or ham and ';Baron Of Beef';, which appears to be the thigh of a steer. It is very average roast beef nearly always cooked ';medium';. They never serve prime rib or steaks, which are typical at most dinner buffets charging that kind of grub fee. Their ';seafood night'; is really a waste of money as crab legs and shrimp are both soggy and salty. The best part of their buffet is their salad selections (very good). For only a couple dollars more (around $16.99) you can get a prime rib dinner off the ';Room Service'; menu. That is VERY good, as is their NY Strip dinner at about $21.99.

MSS. Not only do you get great food, you eat in such a beautiful room. You%26#39;ll forget where you are!

Main St. Station

aloha...

I agree with MSS as by far the best. I would put the Nugget behind the Fremont also.
