Question on a coupon, also low-end hotel question

I have a 2 for 1 menu item at ellis island. Can i get the $4.95 steak special with that coupon even though its ';not'; on the menu? Also should I bring my own shampoo and soap and such if I%26#39;m staying at a lower end hotel? Ill be staying at Cortez and plaza.

I am not sure about the coupon, but I always bring my own soap, shampoo, etc. no matter what hotel I go to...I prefer my own brand. If I like theirs I will use it. I love getting Bath and Body Works, Neutrogena, etc. @ hotels, but even all those products aren%26#39;t all good.

the el cortez and plaza are both good,

they should have cheap shampoo and soap , check out cheapo vegas for more info on rooms

Ellis Island will let you use the coupon on the steak special

The El Cortez has soap, shampoo, %26amp; mouthwash. I think they also might have lotion, too.

Gnejs: I think you will be surprised at how great the Cortez rooms are...had 2 nights comped and the room is large, with a huge desk, sofa, large bed and very clean with a great view...the casino is also very good and only a short walk to the Fremont Experience...

Yea, Ive read a lot of good stuff bout the cortez, and im getting 2 nights for $35 which isnt shabby :)

Gnejs, just make sure you get ';tower'; rooms at El Cortez.

The rooms they call ';main building double doubles'; are in a motel-like complex built on top of their parking garage. I found it kind of creepy up there after dark, to tell you the truth.

And pretty please post a trip report. I%26#39;ve heard so much about the El Cortez I%26#39;m seriously considering it as our next place to stay.
