Things I should Know, Spending my 21st Bday in Vegas!

Hi, about 10 of us will be going down to Vegas this November as I am the last one to turn 21 then.

I would like to know some information. We will be flying out of Minneapolis (cheeper, way cheeper than Winnipeg). I was looking into Expedia to book flight and hotel. We want to stay ON the Strip, and are looking to go down Friday-Monday (since we all are still in school).

What hotels can you reccommend? Something that hopefully wont break the bank, since most of my friends pay for their own University/College. I have been to Vegas Before and stayed at the MGM Grand and the Bellagio. We want something that isnt that expensive, but still decent and ON the Strip.

Any advice would be great, thanks a bunch!

Luxor and TI are both less expensive than MGM and Bellagio, but are still very nice properties. You might also consider Monte Carlo, however Luxor and TI have a more fun atmosphere.

I would not book your hotel thru Expedia. Just my opinion, have had some problems. Also, if for some reason you need to change your reservation it will cost you $$.

If you book directly with the hotel and see a better rate later you will be able to cancel and re-book the lower rate. Lots of the hotels also have the ';best rate gaurantee'; so if you see it cheaper somewhere, tell them and they will give you the same rate. Have a great trip!

Try Bally%26#39;s.

im taking my daughter to LAs Vegas for her 21st bday- we are staying at the Luxor. I have never stayed there before but Ive heard good things bout it. The price was right too.

Whichever holtel you choose book directly through the hotels website and check back to the site to see if prices have dropped then at the lower price or cancel and rebook if they wont let you just rebook. When checking in ask if the rate has dropped and if so you get that rate, they wont tell you it has dropped unless you ask.

I think for a bunch of 21year olds you would like ti best for on the strip. It seems to be catering to the younger crowd yhese days.

Oh yeah and ....

Good Luck.

Try the Barbary Coast--great location and seeing price is a concern--it might be what your lQQking for. Try Coastcasinos.com

Ohhh, 21st b-day. Seems like just yesterday rather than over a decade ago: shots, debauchery, drinking all night... puking the entire next day =). Have fun girl! Don%26#39;t forget the Tylenol!

Strip and cheaper side: Bally%26#39;s. Across from the Bellagio. Clean but no huge perks. Connected to Paris. We are staying there 6/14- 6/17 for approx 70 bucks a night. Got an American Airplines Vacation deal: 3 nights at Bally%26#39;s and 2 roundtrip nonstop tickets from St Louie for $599. Not bad!

More condusive to a 21st b-day as a younger crowd: Palms, Hard Rock, TI, or NYNY

Either way, be fun and BE SAFE!

Congrats!

hehehe, thanks, I will not forget the Advil, hahaha. Im sure I will need it.

Why shouldnt I book with expedia? The only real reason I was booking with them is because they gave me a Canadian Price of my flight from (minneapolis) and hotel. It was just easier instead of converting, but if you all say it%26#39;s cheeper to book through the hotel, then that%26#39;s no biggie. I just thought that it was more convient to book flight and hotel?

If not, I will just book my flight, and go to the websites, to check out the hotel prices?

Thanks everyone for the great information, Im going to get all my pals together to check out the hotel suggestions, thanks!
