Vegas Hotels with KIDS - please help

Hi,

Now I know all the fuss about kids in Vegas, but they will be coming with us, I have read all the previous posts but still unable tio work out the best hotel with kids.

The kids are 5 and 7 so I would really love posts from familys that have actually stayed on the strip. At the moment tossing up between mirage, paris, new york, and monte carlo. Like the idea of a good pool setting and central location.

Any advice, other than leave the kids at home %26#39;lol%26#39;, would be appreciated. Going in october.

Cheers from OZ.

I still think Excalibur is the best for Kids.

Off of your list, 1. Monte Carlo, 2. Mirage, 3. NYNY, 4. Paris.

Hi.... Because of the size, pool area, restaurants and convenience I would say MGM... Across the street from New York-New York... Monorail line. Of the ones you listed, Mirage or Paris, again because of location.

Try either the Western or the Gold Spike. It will be a great enviorment for kids.

I agree that Excalibur is the best choice - it has an arcade in the lower level, Tournament of Kings dinnershow and is a family oriented hote. From your list though I%26#39;d pick NY NY - it also has an arcade and is right next door to Excalibur.

You might try the Orleans. They have a nice pool, there is an arcade, bowling alley, and movie theatre on a floor separate from the casino, and the rooms are large enough to handle a family of four. The buffet works well for kids since there are so many selections, and room service is not outrageous. You also will have access to pay-per-view movies in your room. We stayed there last year with my two boys, nine and three, and they had a fairly good time. There%26#39;s even a daycare facility that charges by the hour and has some interesting things that the kids might enjoy, but we didn%26#39;t use it on our trip. The wife and I just tag-team gamble. You will need a rental car if you want to do any significant sightseeing since the Orleans is about three miles off of the strip.

Here is a website that might help you out. Devoted to Kids in vegas.

They have plenty of info. on kid friendly hotels, shows, attractions, etc.

Out of the ones you listed above, I think NYNY would be the best. They have huge arcade and rollercoaster.

Hope you find info helpful.

NOT Treasure Island. As a father I always depended on a pool to entertain the kids. I just returned from TI and they closed their pool at 6:00pm. It was obvious the pool area was for sun bathers and not kids. And I also wouldn%26#39;t encourge watching the ';pirate show '; Sirens out front as it has taken a real sexual edge now. By the way I wouldn%26#39;t even encourage adults as its pretty dumb. Mandalay Bay has a wave pool and with the aquarium on site it might be good.

circus circus and excalibur should be your ONLY choice,

thats it, im done!!!

OZ - Some of the station casinos (Texas Station, Boulder Station and The Orleans) all have what is known as Kid%26#39;s Quest. I have a daughter that loves it. They charge about $7.00 and hour and you can leave them for upto 5 hours to play. It%26#39;s like a big kids amusement park with adult supervision. Gives your children time to play, while you play yourself. Very safe - it was originally suggested to me by a Nevada Highway Patrol Officer. It is a lock-in situation whereas the children must pass through two supervised gates to enter and leave - no adults except supervisors are permitted. You must have proper ID to take them and pick them up. My suggestion for you and them to have your free time.

We stayed at the Excalibur with our kids last year and had a great time but didn%26#39;t get a chance to even look at the pool! Stayed at Fairfield Grand Desert resort this year, just behind MGM so not actually on the strip but close, they have a full iteniery of activities and an activity room, also as it is an apartment, you have a kitchen, 3 TVs etc. Much, much quiter than the Excalibur.

Have you read the review section to help you decide
